The Lincoln Leads series for 2024 was organised by Lincoln MCR’s Academic Officer, with the assistance of the Lincoln MCR Secretary and the Lincoln Development Office.
After completing a year as an MSt student in Modern Languages, Maria Branco has returned to Lincoln for a DPhil in the same discipline, researching the works of Portuguese writers Natália Correia and Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen. As the MCR’s Academic Officer, Maria organises an array of events designed to provide the MCR community opportunities for scholarly pursuits, including study sessions and participating in intellectually stimulating events such as the Lord Florey Talks – and Lincoln Leads!
Ashley Castelino is a third-year DPhil candidate researching extraordinary dogs in Old Norse-Icelandic literature and Secretary of the Lincoln College MCR. As a former Academic Officer, organising Lincoln Leads was always his favourite part of the job, and he returns to assist Maria with this year’s series of panels.
